By calculating CTR you can estimate the worthwhileness of advertising costs. In contextual advertising the higher the CTR, the lower the CPC (cost per click). Furthermore, high-quality contextual ad or media banners with high CTR’s will be advertised more often across different sites and will occupy high positions in the advertising blocks of contextual systems.
