If you'd like your ads to benefit from the hundreds of millions of views on YouTube, Google can help. This article shows you how to use placements to target your Display Network ads to appear on specific YouTube videos, channels, or all of YouTube. You can also exclude your ads from appearing with certain video content.
Add specific YouTube channels and videos
To target your ads to show on specific YouTube channel pages or videos:
- Sign in to your Google Ads account.
- In the Navigation panel, select the Display campaign and ad group you want to edit.
- In the Page menu, click Placements and then click the plus button.
- Select YouTube channels or YouTube videos and search using the search field. Click the checkboxes to select the placements you want to target.
- To manually enter a placement, click Enter multiple placements at the bottom of the box and enter the URL of the video or channel. Click Add x placements.
- Click Save.
Exclude YouTube videos or channel pages
- Sign in to your Google Ads account.
- In the Navigation panel, select the campaign and ad group you want to edit.
- In the Page menu, click Placements.
- Click Exclusions and then click the plus button.
- Select YouTube channels or YouTube videos and search using the search field. Click the checkboxes to select the placements you want to exclude.
- To manually enter a placement, click Enter multiple placements at the bottom of the box, and enter the URL of the video or channel page. You can exclude up to 10,000 placements per campaign. Click Add x placements.
- Click Save.
