How do BI Reports work?
BI Reports collect data from advertising and analytics systems and upload them to Power BI that converts it into easy-to-read graphs, tables, and charts — the view depends on the report template you choose.
How often are statistics updated?
We update statistics several times a day. Information on the latest data update is available in your eLama account.
For what period is the data displayed in the report?
The report displays data available 45 days before its creation.
For example, you created a report on May 5th, 2019, and on the same day, you added an account created on January 1st to it. The report will display the data from March 21st to May 5th.
Imagine that on May 12th, you added another account created on January 10th. The report will collect data available 45 days before the creation of the report itself, that is, from March 21st to May 12th.
If you want to see data for a more extended period in the reports, contact the Customer Support.
The report will stop updating when the free or paid period ends. Data from the created reports is stored for six months – and it is available for viewing.
How long does it take to collect statistics for a report?
It usually takes 10-15 minutes, depending on the amount of data in the account.
Which data sources can be added to reports?
You can add Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Facebook Ads as data sources.
To get the necessary data to the report, configure data sources and UTM-markup.
Are API points spent on data collection?
Yes, API points are spent collecting data on campaigns and ads.
What should I do if my statistics are not collected and not updated?
If an error occurs, you can see it in the ‘status of a connected source’ on the page “Reports” - “Accounts.” If it doesn’t display an error in the status, and statistics are still not collected, contact Customer Support.
How to share a report?
To share a report, you must publish it (“Home” - “Publish”). Click here to learn more.
Read more about report access levels on the Power BI website.
What to do if data in advertising or analytical systems and BI reports diverge?
The data that you see in the reports may differ slightly from the data from advertising systems and analytical systems, leading to no more than 3% discrepancies.
If you suspect more significant inconsistencies, check these parameters:
- The date and the time of the last update (perhaps you are looking at the statistics for the period for which it has not yet been collected);
- Are the periods and accounts the same?
- Are UTM markup requirements met?
If you have no issues with the parameters above, and the discrepancies exceed 3%, contact Customer Support.
How to log in with another client?
To download data from another report in the Power BI file, you need to log in this way:
- Go to the “File” tab - “Options and Settings” - “Data Source Settings”.
- Select "Edit Permissions" - "Edit"
- Enter your new username and password (from your eLama account).
